Access to period products
Information for parents and whaanau
Periods are a fact of life for half the population. As parents and whaanau, your tamariki's education and wellbeing is important to you. Providing period products to our students is part of supporting their wellbeing. Students can better focus on their learning and know they can get what they need, when they need it, to manage their cycle. Contact the school office if we can help.

HEALTHY SCHOOL LUNCHES PROGRAM

Picture
Our kura is part of the Healthy School Lunches Program initiated by the GOVT/Ministry of Education. This means all tamariki receive a free healthy lunch every day. There will be some warm kai for the colder parts of the year. The requirement of school lunches set out by the Government is to provide daily either 5 different veggies and or fruit in flexible combinations to suit our lunch program.
More information of the Nutrition Guidelines can be found here.
If your tamariki has any dietary requirements, please contact our office so that we can cater for your child.
The kura has fresh fruit available daily for all tamariki.

Keeping Ourselves Safe Online:

Netsafe is leading the development of Aotearoa's first Online Safety Code of Practice. The Code is designed for ICT organisations providing services to people in New Zealand. Netsafe's research shows one in five adults and twice as many young people received a digital communication that negatively impacted their life in 2020. To put that in a practical context, as 2021 has progressed, Netsafe is continuing to record a new ''high'' in terms of the highest ever number of reports related to harmful digital communication.
Digital technology continues to be an important part of how the community connects, learns and lives.

Important Information:
Multiple phishing email campaigns are targeting the New Zealand school sector

No need to panic but it is important for whanau to know
